- Suffering from Anxiety?
6.8 million adults in the United States suffer from Anxiety, with women being the majority of that population effected. As there are many medications that are prescribed, they do come with known side effects. Anxiety causes worry, panic and depression, and those of us who live with it every day know how tiring it is. It can affect our everyday lives and function. Research has shown that the medications work, but I have always looked at holistic remedies. Today I want to talk about Ashwagandha. This herb has been used for thousands of years for its adaptogenic properties and research has shown to be effective on combating anxiety. Its ability to increase the activity of GABA receptors in the brain, it helps enhance the stress-reveling effects of calming neurotransmitters in your body. The problem is that like with many medications is that the manufactures have other products used that effect the medicinal value of the herb. Another point is that it is important to use true organic herbs. - Parasites...What are they?
Parasites are organisms that live in or on a host and rely on it for survival, often at the host's expense. They can cause a range of health issues, from mild discomfort to severe diseases. Below are the most common parasites that affect the human body. Protozoa – These are microscopic, single-celled organisms that can multiply inside the human body, leading to infections like malaria and toxoplasmosis. Helminths – These are larger, multicellular worms, such as tapeworms and roundworms, that can live in the intestines, blood, or tissues. Ectoparasites – These include lice, fleas, and ticks, which live on the skin and can transmit diseases. Parasites can enter the body through contaminated food, water, insect bites, or direct contact with infected individuals. They may cause symptoms like digestive issues, fatigue, skin irritation, and even neurological problems, depending on the type of parasite and the severity of the infection. HOW TO TREAT There are several herbs known for their anti-parasitic properties. Some of the most effective ones include: Black Walnut Hulls – Contains juglone, which has strong anti-parasitic effects. Sweet Wormwood (Artemisia annua) – Known for its ability to combat malaria parasites. Garlic – Has powerful antimicrobial properties and can help eliminate various parasites. Cucumber Seeds – Traditionally used to remove tapeworms from the digestive tract. Papaya Seeds – Effective against intestinal worms and tapeworms. These herbs work by disrupting the life cycle of parasites, supporting digestion, and enhancing the body's natural defenses. If you're considering using them, it's best to consult a healthcare professional to ensure safe and effective use. Would you like recommendations on how to incorporate them into your diet? We will be posting a blend of tea that is know historically to help with parasites. Please check caution statement and disclaimers for possible allergic reactions. - Struggling to Stay awake, exhaused?
Good Morning Sunshine!! Everyone I have talked to the past 2 months have been experiencing the same problem. No energy, tired during the day, and not enthusiasm. This is the beginning of a downward spiral, because we start relying on carbs, caffeine, and sugar to get our energy. I suffer from this as well. The holistic approach to overcoming tiredness and depression In our fast-paced world, many people struggle with extreme tiredness and depression throughout the day These conditions can leave us feeling drained, unmotivated, and disconnected. While it's easy to reach for temporary solutions like caffeine or medication, a holistic approach can offer deeper, longer-lasting relief by addressing the mind, body, and spirit. What causes extreme tiredness and depression? Fatigue and depression can have a range of causes. Physical factors, such as poor sleep, poor nutrition, or hormonal imbalances, can leave the body exhausted. Mental and emotional stress, unresolved trama , or anxiety can also drain our energy, making it difficult to stay focused and positive throughout the day. Additionally, a lack of physical activity, and too much screen time can affect your energy levels and mood. A holistic approach to healing. A holistic approach involves looking at all aspects of your w-being-physical, emotional, and spiritual. To fight tiredness and depression, start by focusing on lifestyle habits: 1 - Balanced Nutrition: Eating a well-rounded diet rich in vitamins, minerals, and whole foods can support your energy levels and mood. Avoid excessive sugar and processed foods, which can contribute to mood swings and fatigue. 2- Mindfulness and meditation: Practicing mindfulness can help reduce stress and improve your emotional health. Meditation, deep breathing, and grounding techniques can help calm your mind and restore your energy. 3- Regular Exercise: Physical activity boosts mood by releasing endorphins and improves sleep, which in turn helps with fatigue. Even a daily walk can make a big difference. 4- Quality sleep" Prioritize good sleep hygiene, including a consistent sleep schedule, a calming bedtime routine, and a sleep0friendly environment. Quality rest is essential for energy and emotional stability. 5- Herbal remedies: Herbal remedies, in my opinion, are the best way to help recover and maintain a healthy sleep schedule. By combining these holistic practices, you can start to rebuild your energy and emotional well-being, addressing the root causes of tiredness and depression instead of just masking the symptoms. I will have an energy herbal tea available soon. Stay Well, and nourish your soul, 1 tea @ a time!!!
